Air source heat pumps are favoured technology so far

Despite a clear lead of enquiries for solar thermal ahead of the introduction of the Renewable Heat Premium Payments, air source heat pumps are now the leading technology under the scheme, which came into play 1st August. According to the Energy Saving Trust, which manages the £15 million scheme, 900 vouchers have already been distributed, accounting for £750,000, of which 36% were for air source heat pump installations.
