Reading some recent news on the Guardian website, we spotted an article that might be of interest to the readers of this blog. What are your views on whether “Feed-in tariffs are not suppressing innovation in Germany or the UK” ?

We think that with the Tories coming out in favour of renewable energy, and feed in tariffs today, it looks as if the Clean Energy Cashback scheme is here to stay! Reading the Tory’s proposals, the current subsidy is ok, so long as it is not a permanent subsidy. Creating a whole new market for clean energy (not just solar) will take collective effort and I see no reason not to reward energy pioneers.

If the scheme is successful, and the right professionally installed products are put in place, we all stand to benefit from the benefits that will follow from the feed in tariff!!
